Advent workshop for Adults at the Science Center

Join the Advent workshop for adults (age limit 18) on 13 November 2024 at 18-22 at the science centre, where we have the whole house to ourselves and can try the equipment in "peace and quiet" without children. Different activities will be arranged that you can participate in. The science center shop will also be open, where you can get good tips for the advent calendar and Christmas gifts. We also offer mulled wine with and without, as well as gingerbread to start the Christmas spirit, in addition to the sale of other beverages

Activity list:

  • Make personalized Christmas baubles with a laser. (material costs to come)
  • Vinyl print your own design on t-shirts, tote bags or items you bring with you. The clothing brought should be made of natural fibers such as cotton. We can try with synthetic materials, but cannot guarantee that the plastic in the material will not melt. (material costs to come)
  • Make advent calendar marks on laser. Make 24 reusable tags for the Christmas calendar on laser. (material costs to come)
  • 3d print your own gingerbread forms. Design your own little gingerbread mold that will be 3d printed. The 3d printing itself takes some time. This way, the gingerbread mold can be picked up at a later time at the science centre. (material costs to come)
  • Try NNV's embroidering machine. Personalize a towel you have brought with you by embroidering text on it such as the name of someone you love and give it as a Christmas present. (material costs to come)
  • Decorate NNV's Advent cube. Buy Nordnorsk Vitensenter's advent cube is a sustainable Christmas calendar with an adjustable date that makes gift wrapping unnecessary. Put the date in today's slot in the cube and see the children's joy when it is opened. We present paint that can be used to decorate it. It is also possible to bend vinyl. (material costs to come)
  • Make Christmas cards. We present various materials, where you can enjoy making your own Christmas cards. (material costs to come)
