Transportation and parking

The Science Centre of Northern Norway is located on campus at the Arctic University of Norway. There are good bus connections from the city centre and parking facilities in the area.

Bus

There are several buses with a connection at the Science Centre of Northern Norway. The 20 bus from the city centre arrives via the road Dramsvegen and the 34 bus via Stakkevollvegen. From the airport the 42 bus goes to Giæverbukta and connects with the 22 and 34 bus to the Science Centre.

Taxi

There are two taxi companies in Tromsø, as well as Uber:

Arriving by foot or bicycle

The Science Centre is a forty minute walk from the city centre in Tromsø. Transportation by foot or bicycle is available along low-traffic roads and along hiking trails (with ski tracks during wintertime).

Parking

The parking spaces in the area around the Science Center belongs to the Arctic University of Norway. The University has parking spaces both for visitors, students and employees.

Visitor parking spaces can be payed with a mobile app for Tromsø parking or by cash.

Between 7 am and 5 pm the price for visitor parking is NOK 25,- per hour. The rest of the day and during weekends, parking is free. Visitors may also use parking spaces reserved for students and employees between 5 pm and 11 pm and at daytime during the weekends.
